M. Dastageer is an anti-corruption expert and a lecturer of peace, conflict resolution and political theory at the American University of Afghanistan. She is a political scientist, educated at the University of Oxford, the University of Copenhagen and Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris. She has extensive experience working on global anti-corruption matters and has conducted dozens of corruption assessments for government agencies and clients in the Middle East.

She has advised several government ministries on foreign affairs, resource management, integrity and anti-corruption initiatives, as well as on various compliance, policy and legal matters. She recently was in charge of evaluating a number of government agencies in respect of USAID’s anti-corruption program in connection with foreign aid. Prior to this, she advised on anti-corruption issues and compliance for governments.

She has worked on institutional reform and resiliency evaluations across active-conflict and post-conflict settings in Syria and the Middle East. She is the recipient of several research grants and awards, including from Knud Højgaard Foundation, William Demant Foundation and the Ingwersenske Foundation.
